The author looked back on the development course of mine water prevention and control, and rock and soil reinforcement technologies in CIMR over the past 32 years. Achievements of the institute in this field were introduced briefly, amory which were included mainly, vertical shaft grout technique in strongly developed karst stratum, treatment of flooded shaft, reinforcement of geotechnical and mine (surface and underground) projects, grout for dam foundation consolidation and local sealing water technology, rotary injection, water control with large size curtain grout in mine field, water prevetion and control technology under special conditions, chemical grout material and physical prospecting in grout project. Finally, the author pointed out research direetion in the future.
