Abstract:Since No.2 Orebody in the east of the second mining district in Jingchuan mine is characterised by moderate stable rockmass and well-developed joints, the diabase dykes of the orebody are prone to scaling. Therefore, the upward drift stoping with backfilling is decided to use. Because the first-stage drifts were excavated parallelly at first on one side or two sides of the second-stage drifts, the compact filling was used as a wall for roof supporting, and then the drift stoping was conducted, thereby the backfill served as not only a floor for the first-stage drift stoping, but also an artificial pillar for the second-stage drift stoping. The experiments for this mining method are presented. The results have shown that the method displays a high capacity of production, with a combined capacity of 1039 t/d.
