This paper briefly introduces the principal and main forms of block caving system, points out the ore-drawing characteristics, and discusses in detail that the ore-drawing processes with and without waste overburden are two different stages and have different control principals. Based on this theory, the PC control software system has been developed and is used to direct the production. This achievement has perfected the ore-drawing theory and application field and has advanced a significant step forwards to the scientific management of ore-drawing processes.
