In mineral deposit simulation system, the users raise a query on the external view of the geological database through the setting of query condition. Based on XML (Extensible Markup Language) technology, this paper provides a way of custom-built query by creating the query configuration files. Through parsing by DOM (Document Object Model), a query tree has been built, and the required external views have been saved for the subsequent use, thus, a view can be used for multi-users, and different views can be used by different users, also every view can be used for several times, so that the operations have been simplified and the practicability of the simulation system has been enhanced.
