Using controlled blasting, the conjoined row framework culvert sluice was successfully demolished while retaining the bridge. During the blasting operation, the single row column sluice gate room which used to be connected to piers was demolished through directional blasting. The foundation, splayed protective piers and the water passing gate floor were demolished using various blasting technologies. The technologies and engineering methods would serve as references for similar operations.
