An arched stone bridge, constructed using dimension stone and cement slurry, was demolished through controlled blasting. Desirable results were achieved. The demolition operation was quick, cost effective and quite safe. This paper presents the design of the blasting parameters and the safety precautions taken in the blasting operation.
