This paper presents a summary of the research subject and achievement in ground pressure monitoring in combined open pit/underground mining in Tonglushan Mine in the Ninth Five Year Plan period. Principally, the project involves engineering geologic survey, field ground pressure monitoring, theoretical analysis, forecasting of stope roof collapse etc.
