Mining of gently dipping medium-thick orebodies has been a big challenge to the mining industry the world over. The state-of-the-arts of mining methods for gently dipping medium-thick orebodies both in China and abroad has been investigated. Based on this investigation, a brief description is given of the mining technology, equipment and mining performances along with existing problems and development trend.
