Based on introduction to the present state of mining equipment in China, the authors showed some problems in equipment development, technical policy, organization and management aspects and suggested that the open-pit and underground mining equipment should be developed in light of the national conditions of China, and automatic control technique, sensing technique and computer technique shall be gradually used for big mining equipments so as to narrow down the gap between China and advanced industrical countries.
