According to the occurrence conditions of large-sized waterproof pillars at Kangjiawan Lead-Zinc-gold mine,the authors verified the feasibility of the safe mining of waterproof pillars in the view of technology and economics. This paper provides a reference for the waterproof pillars extraction in advance at this mine and can be used for reference in the mines with similar conditions.
