In view of the remarkable problems existing in mining the flat-dipping thin vein in Xiangxi Gold Mine, we try to improve mechanized operation and innovate mining technology by using miniature electric-powered LHD's for ore removal and filling assistance.The technology of resuing-and-filling by oriented pin-point blasting has also been applied. Therefore, stope productivity was raised, labour force was lowered, and problems with closed roof filling were solved satisfactorily. This experiment proved to be a success.
