Abstract:In sublevel caving mining without sill pillar,the mining progresses continuously by sublevels.Therefore,when the area of exposed roof is sufficiently large at the first sublevel in sublevel caving,the ore in upper sublevels can be induced to cave in a safe way making use of the mined-out area at first sublevel.The application of this induced caving technique has formed a high-efficiency non-sublevel pillar mining technique based on the combination of induced caving and forced caving in the Beiminghe Iron Mine,and results in a China's short-time record that the deigned production capacity of the mine was reached after going into production for one year and seven months.
