Based on an accident which overvoltage is produed by thunderstroke in the end hung system of high-voltage line to cause damage to the line end equipment, the authors analyze the propagation of lightning wave in the power line,and put forward the effective safe measures which the lightning arrester is installed at the power line end to protect the end equipment.
